In 2002, Ken Stack took the reins of ZMX Transportation with a simple purpose: to build a business that would provide for his family while creating opportunities for the people who helped make it successful.
Ken believed in holding ZMX's drivers to a high standard, but he was also known for his understanding, forgiveness, and willingness to give people another chance. He believed in treating people fairly and doing what was right. That same commitment to others extended beyond the business, as Ken generously donated ZMX's services to support a variety of charitable causes and organizations in the community.
Ken's career in transportation began at K&R Express Systems, where he quickly rose through the company and gained the experience that would eventually prepare him to lead ZMX Transportation. Over the next 24 years, he dedicated himself to growing ZMX while building a company based on hard work, accountability, and taking care of its people.
In November 2025, Ken passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a legacy that reaches far beyond the company he built. Since then, Ken's family has taken the reins of ZMX Transportation with a commitment to carrying his vision forward and continuing the legacy he worked so hard to create.
Ken had a simple motto that reflected his approach to both business and life:
Keep on Trucking.
And that's exactly what we intend to do.
